I believe the relationship between therapist and client is the foundation of meaningful change. When the fit feels right, everything else has room to grow. Therapy should feel safe, trusting, and paced in a way that works for you. I often think of our work together like tending a garden: we’ll plant seeds of new ideas and insights, and you’ll have a say in how and when they’re nurtured.
My style is warm, engaged, and a little unconventional. I draw from research-informed approaches while also bringing in humor, honest reflection, and gentle challenge. Clients often tell me I “say it like it is”—but always with care and intention. Together, we might explore patterns from early life, reconsider the roles you hold, and stay connected to what you want for your future.
I enjoy working with teens, adult individuals, and couples who are navigating challenges such as addiction, ADHD, anxiety and stress, adoption and foster care, dating and relationship issues, including premarital and marital concerns, infidelity, grief and loss, self-esteem and identity development, women’s issues, and trauma (including intergenerational, childhood, religious, sexual, & betrayal).
I have completed advanced training in several evidence-based approaches, including:
-
Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP)
-
Gottman Method Couples Therapy
-
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma
-
National Adoption Competency Mental Health Training through the American Psychiatric Association
I am also a member of PACT—An Adoption Alliance, supporting adoptees and adoptive families.
I earned my BA in Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies from Franklin University Switzerland and my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Santa Barbara.
Having lived on multiple continents and traveled extensively, I bring an international and interdisciplinary perspective to my work. This background allows me to hold space for clients from diverse cultures, identities, and lived experiences.
I maintain a limited number of pro bono therapy spots for individuals and families impacted by recent immigration policy changes. My fee is $170 per session, and I offer limited sliding scale spaces. If you have any questions or would like to explore working together, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
